Required tools:
– Trim Tool: https://amzn.to/3uy4FMd
– Flat blade screwdriver: https://amzn.to/3thkKWs

1. Open the ashtray and then remove the plastic part from the DSG gear lever
2. Separate the plastic part from the gear shift gaiter
3. Lift the gaiter up and then use a flat and thin blade screwdriver to expand that metal clip or you can use a side cutters to cut it
4. Remove the DSG plastic part out using a trim tool
5. Turn the ignition on and move the gear shift from P (Parking) in N (Neutral)
6. Press on the gear shift button to release the plastic part from the knob
7. Then pull the gear shift knob out.
