Here is the solution on how to unlock manually or emergency release and unlock DSG automatic gearbox selector in case of a drained battery or defective fuse if it’s necessary to move the car on VW Touareg 7P (2011-2017).

1. Lift the gear knob gaiter up. 

Pull the gaiter towards the shifter and then lift it up.

2. Press the brake pedal.

3. Then press the yellow plastic and hold it down until you move the shifter from Parking (P) to Neutral (N).

After moving the car, put the shifter back in Parking and install the selector gaiter back.
