How to remove front door lock module from a VW Golf Mk4, Jetta, Bora in 14 steps
Among the things that will brake eventually after 10 years on a VW Golf Mk4, Jetta, Bora, Passat B5, Polo, Skoda, Seat model include the door lock module. But, to change this door lock module by yourself, first you need some tools.

Necessary tools:
- ratchet: https://amzn.to/3wUiff8
- 10 mm socket

Follow carrelfully those 14 steps from the video below:
First, you have to remove the door panel (you’ll find the video tutorial on the website), then…
STEP 1: remove the ten bolts around the edges of the inner door panel
STEP 2: disconnect the wires from the window motor and speaker (our speaker is missing)
STEP 3: remove the window motor using a ratchet and a Torx T30. Remove the three screws
STEP 4: pop off the black rubber grommets to have acces at the screws from the window clamps
Roll down the window 2 inches from the top to see the screws
STEP 5: loose the glass clamps unscrewing those two screws with a T30 Torx
STEP 6: unscrew the only screw from the tweeter with a T20 Torx and take it out
Don’t forget to disconnect the wires
STEP 7: take the glass frame out using a flat blade screwdriver
STEP 8: take the door glass out
STEP 9: take the plastic cap out
STEP 10: loose the interior screw as much as you can with a T20 Torx
STEP 11: take the door lock handle out from the door
STEP 12: with a flat blade screwdriver pry out the handle cable
STEP 13: use M8 Torx to remove those two triple square bolts holding the door module to the door frame
STEP 14: take the inner door panel out from the door
Don’t forget to disconnect the wires from the door lock module
You can use a flat blade screwdriver
Take the door lock module out from the plastic support.
