The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) warning light warns you when the pressure in one or more tires is too low. If you have inflated or changed the tires, you may need to reset the TPMS on your Volvo S60, V60, S80, XC60, XC90, V40, or V70 (model years 2014–2019).

Before resetting, check the pressure in all tires, including the spare wheel if your model is equipped with one. Use the manufacturer-recommended values, usually found on the label on the driver’s door pillar or in the owner’s manual. Do not rely on the maximum pressure listed on the tire sidewall.

Steps to reset the TPMS

The procedure may vary depending on the model year, trim level, and multimedia system version. For many Volvo models from this period, the reset is performed as follows:

1. Park the vehicle safely and adjust the pressure in all tires to the recommended values.

2. Turn on the ignition or start the engine.

3. Go to the center display and access the main menu using the rotary knob and the „OK” button on the center console. Press the „EXIT” button as many times as necessary to return to the main menu.

4. Select „My Car” using the rotary knob and then the „OK” button.

5. Press the OK button again to access „My S60”.

6. Select „Tyre Pressure” using the rotary knob and the “OK” button.

7. Select „Calibrate tyre pressure” using the OK button, then press the OK button once more to confirm.

Drive the vehicle for a while, following the displayed instructions. The system may require some time and a few kilometers of driving to update the values.

If you cannot find this option or the steps do not match your vehicle, consult the owner’s manual for your specific model year and trim level. Some versions may have a different procedure.

Does the TPMS warning light remain on?

If the TPMS warning light does not disappear after the reset, recheck the tire pressure in all tires when the engine  is calld. Repeated pressure loss could indicate a puncture, a slow leak, or a TPMS system issue. If the warning light flashes or the message reappears, have the vehicle inspected at a specialized service center.

Resetting the TPMS on Volvo S60, V60, S80, XC60, XC90, V40, and V70 models (2014–2019) is important after adjusting tire pressure or changing tires, but it does not replace regular tire checks. Always consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual for the procedure specific to your model.
