Tools required:

1. Open the front passenger door and slide the passenger seat all the way back to access the two bolts on the rail.
2. Unscrew the two bolts using a Torx Bit Spline M8.
3. Slide the seat all the way forward to access the other two bolts in the back.
4. Unscrew the other two bolts in the back using the same Torx Bit Spline M8.
5. Leave the seat back and disconnect the two plugs under the carpet (black and yellow).
6. Unscrew the plastics on the edge of the carpet to access under the carpet.
7. Lift the carpet and under it, you will find the ESP sensor which is connected to a plug and is held in by two 10 mm nuts.
What you need to do:
1. Make a diagnosis: go to an authorized car dealer or use a dedicated diagnostic tool to read the stored error codes. The error must explicitly indicate the failure of this ESP or Yaw Rate sensor.
2. Calibration: sometimes, the sensor is not physically defective, but has lost its calibration (after changing the battery or adjusting the wheel geometry). Before buying a new part, you can try to recalibrate the steering wheel angle sensor and ESP sensors using the VCDS (or a diagnostic tool).
3. Replacement: if the diagnosis confirms that the sensor is burned or unrecoverable, it is replaced.
After installing the new sensor, it is mandatory to perform a calibration / initialization procedure with the diagnostic tool for the stability control system to function correctly.
