In this video you will see how to remove or replace the engine oil pressure sensor or the fuel temperature sensor (diesel) on Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6, 2.2 Diesel Skyactive.

1. Remove the engine cover

2. Remove the antifreeze tank from the Mazda CX-5

Remove the clamp from the thick cable using a flat blade screwdriver. Then remove the thick cable from the antifreeze tank.

Remove the antifreeze tank from the side clamps using a flat blade screwdriver. And then remove the thin hose on the left side and pull the tank up to come out.

3. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor connector by pressing the yellow clip

4. Remove the oil pressure sensor using a 27 mm socket and a ratchet

This is what the new oil pressure or fuel temperature sensor looks like. You can find the oil pressure sensor below at the link in the video description!

You can search for it using the serial codes: 026154401F or 0261230340 and 0261230482.

Here you can see that the new sensor is the same with the old one.

5. Install the new oil pressure sensor

6. Reinstall all other engine components: antifreeze tank and engine cover.

After you have installed the new oil pressure sensor and start the engine, the message “Engine Inspection Required” will appear on instrument cluster display, which you will need to clear using a diagnostic tool.
