TUTORIAL: How to add Apple CarPlay to BMW models that didn’t have from the factory
In this video tutorial I will show you how to add Apple CarPlay on BMW models (BMW 3 Series, 5-Series, 6-Series, 7-Series, X3, X5, X6, X7) that didn’t come with it from the factory.
You have to know that only BMW models (except BMW X1 that didn’t offer Apple CarPlay) from july 2016 and up can support Apple Carplay. You can use Apple CarPlay only if you have iPhone 5, 6, 7, 8, X, 11 or 12. CarPlay allows you to use iPhone’s apps while you drive. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages, and enjoy your favorite music.
1. Press on the Start / Stop Engine button to turn the central display on
Wait for about 30-40 seconds
2. Access Connected Drive using the iDrive button
3. Accest ConnectedDrive Store / Apple CarPlay Preparation / Show offers.
From here you can purchase the Apple CarPlay for 1 month, 1 year, 3 years or one time.
After you decided the purchase, select „Next” and the log into your ConnectedDrive account to complete the purchase.
