In this video tutorial we are going to show you how to transform your glove compartment in a refrigerated glove compartment in just 14 simple steps. Also, this operation is avalaible for Seat Leon 3 5F (2012-2020) and Volkswagen VW Golf Mk7. Then, you will be able to keep a bottle of water or some food cold in summer when the temperature is high.

You have to know that before you start the operation, you just need to buy this glove box outlet cooling valve & hose kit for Seat Leon Mk3 and Volkswagen VW Golf 7 MK7:
-hose: 5G1816311A
-valve: 5E0816355.

Work time: 1.5-2 hours

Required tools:
– a ratchet and an extension ratchet with 25 cm length: https://amzn.to/3d80sf0
– a T20 & T15 Torx: https://amzn.to/36xs4T8
– a trim tool or a flat blade screwdriver: https://amzn.to/3uy4FMd

1. Remove those 3 bolts from the lower part of the glove box using a T15 Torx
2. Open the glovebox and press on those side clips so the door can be fully opened
Press one side, pull the door slightly then press the other side.
3. Remove the 3 bolts from the upper side fo the glove box using a T15 Torx
4. Remove the plastic part aorund the CD drive
Use your hands to remove the plastic part pulling forwards to take it out from the clips.
5. Remove those 2 bolts from the right & left side of the CD drive using a T20 Torx, a ratchet and an extension ratchet
6. Remove those 2 plastic caps
7. Lower the glove box from the dash
8. Disconnect the cables from the glove box
9. Remove the plastic cap and install the new hose
10. Remove the plastic part from the glove box and install the new valve
11. Connect the other end of the hose to the new valve
12. Put the cables back on the glove box and lift the glove box in the initial position
13. Put those two T20 Torx bolts from the CD unit back
14. Install all the parts from the glove box: plastic caps, the CD unit frame and those 6 T15 Torx bolts
