In this video tutorial we are going to show you how to install USB fast charging ports on VW Golf Mk5, MK6, Tiguan, Jetta, Tiguan, etc. in just 11 simple steps.

1. Lift the gear knob gaiter using a pry tool
2. Remove those two T20 screws
3. Pull up the ashtray and disconnect those two wiring harnesses from the Cigarette Lighter and from the ESP button
4. Cut the end of those two cables from the new socket
5. Connect those two cables onto the wiring harness of the new car socket
Use those two scotch lock connectors to connect the red cable (positive +) to the red and black cable and the black cable (negative -) to the brown cable.
Check the voltage using a Multimeter. It has to shown around 12-13V
6. Replace the fake buttons with USB buttons
Use the heat resistant tape to insulate the wirings
7. Connect those two cables (red + and black -) to the new car socket
8. Connect the USB socket to the new socket
9. Connect the cables from the USB buttons to the double USB charger
10. Use the heat resistant wiring tape to insulate the cables
11. Install the car parts (ashtray, gear knob gaitor) back on the center console.
