To remove VW Golf Mk4, Jetta, Bora, Passat, Polo, Skoda Octavia 1, Fabia turn signal lever / wiper switch, you will have to follow just 10 simple steps. You can see them in the video tutorial below.

Before removing the turn signal lever / wiper switch on VW Golf Mk4, Bora, Jetta, Passat, Polo, you will need to disconnect the negative terminal from the car battery. Then…

1.      Remove the steering wheel airbag using a flat blade screwdriver

2.      Remove the yellow wiring harness

3. Use a ratchet, an extension ratchet and an M12 or T55 Torx to remove the screw in the middle

Remove the key and lock the steering wheel.

4. Take the steering wheel out and remove the four screws from the plastic housing from below

Make sure that when you remove the steering wheel, keep in mind which position you have removed from the column (see the mark on steering wheel).

5. Pull down the lock-release lever and remove the screw underneath with a T20 torx

6. Remove as much as possible the two plastic parts from the steering wheel column

7. Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the airbag clock spring

8. Remove the airbag clock spring using a flat blade screwdriver

9. Loosen the screw that holds the two levers on the steering column using a 4 mm imbus

10. Take the turn signal lever / wiper switch out and disconnect those 3 wiring harnesses.
