Necessary tools:

• ratchet: https://amzn.to/3wUiff8
  
• 18 mm socket
• 16 mm socket
• T45 socket (you can find 12-Piece Magnetic Torx Screwdrivers Set HERE: https://amzn.to/3s9GceR)
  
• flat blade screwdriver: https://amzn.to/3thkKWs
  

The VW Golf Mk4, Bora, Jetta speed sensor is located near to engine mount.

 

Before you start removing the speed sensor, place a car jack under the gearbox.

STEP 1: remove those 5 screws from the engine mount. It has to be removed

STEP 2: use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the speed sensor connector

STEP 3: use a T45 Torx to remove the speed sensor from the gearbox.
