Before you start removing the comfort body control module on VW Golf Mk4, Bora, Jetta, Polo, Passat, you have to disconnect the battery. Be sure to have the radio code, if it’s necessary. The control comfort module is located under the steering wheel, on the left side.

Necessary tools:

• ratchet & extension ratchet: https://amzn.to/3wUiff8
  
• flat blade screwdriver: https://amzn.to/3thkKWs
  
• T25 and T30 Torx (you can find 12-Piece Magnetic Torx Screwdrivers Set HERE: https://amzn.to/3s9GceR)
  

STEP 1: remove those three bolts from the plastic panels under the steering wheel

STEP 2: use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the fuse box cover

STEP 3: take the plastic panels out

You can also remove the plastic piece above the pedals

STEP 4: remove the bolts from the black panel under the steering wheel and take it out

STEP 5: use a T30 Torx to remove the bolt

STEP 6: take the CCM out but first disconnect the wiring harness from the comfort control module.
