How to replace / change the oil filter on a VW Golf Mk5, Passat B6, Jetta in 6 steps

Necessary tools:
- a ratchet or wrench: https://amzn.to/3wUiff8
- an extension bar
- a 32 mm socket
Start by removing the engine cover and then:
STEP 1: remove the oil filter cap using a ratchet, an extension bar and 32 mm socket
STEP 2: take the oil filter out
STEP 3: remove the old O-ring from the oil filter cap using a flat blade screwdriver
STEP 4: fit the new O-ring on the oil filter cap
STEP 5: fit the new filter oil on the cap
STEP 6: put the new oil filter back and tighten the cap.
