How to replace / remove control arm bushing on a VW Golf Mk5, 5, Jetta, Skoda Octavia 2, Seat Leon
If you want to change / replace the control arm bushing on a VW Golf Mk5, 5, Jetta, Skoda Octavia 2, Seat Leon, Audi A3 you have to know that you could do it yourself if you have the right tools.

But first, you have to jack the car up so that the rear wheels are off the ground. Then you just have to follow the next 8 steps:
STEP 1: remove the wheel and those five screws with a 17 mm socket and a ratchet or a pneumatic pistol
STEP 2: take the plastic engine shield out
STEP 3: remove the seven screws from the control arm and take it out
STEP 4: remove the rear bushing (is the big one) from control arm
To remove the front bushing, use a big bolt that could enter inside the bushing
Attention, we’ll use a bench vise (and not a special press) to remove the control arm bushings
STEP 5: take the small bushing out from the control arm
You could grind the new bushing before you put it inside the control arm
Clean the place where will you put the new bushing and apply some grease
Apply some grease over the bushing
STEP 6: put the new bushing back on the control arm using the bench vise
Use something with a round shape to help you fix the new bushing inside the control arm
Use a flat blade screwdriver to take the bushing edges out
You can apply some grease where you put the rear bushing
STEP 7: put the new rear bushing back
STEP 8: put the control arm back and the the seven screws
Don’t forget to install the plastic engine shield and the front wheel.
