How to replace / change the fuel pump on a VW Golf Mk5, Jetta, Skoda Octavia 2, Seat Leon, Audi A3, A4 2.0 TDI (diesel) in 12 steps

Before you replace or change the fuel pump on a VW Golf Mk5, Jetta, Skoda Octavia 2, Seat Leon, Audi A3, A4 2.0 TDI (diesel) you have to know that it is located under the backseat of the car, on the right side. Follow those 12 steps from the VIDEO to learn how to do that.

STEP 1: remove those 4 plastic caps of the isofix system (if you have) from the backseat

STEP 2: take out the backseat

STEP 3: remove the plastic cover of the fuel pump

STEP 4: disconnect that two fuel lines and the electrical connector

STEP 5: with a flat screwdriver and a hammer you remove the locking ring

STEP 6: careful, you pull out the fuel pump from the fuel tank

STEP 7: when you put the new fuel pump, you have to be careful to set it in the right position (check out the arrow)

STEP 8: fix the rubber seal that seal the fuel pump to the tank

STEP 9: you put back the locking ring

STEP 10: reconnect the filler tubes and the electrical connector

STEP 11: put back the plastic cover

STEP 12: install the backseat.
