Changing the cup holder roller cover on Volkswagen Golf 5, Mk6, Eos, Scirocco is a simple operation that does not require advanced knowledge or specialized tools. Follow the steps below to replace the damaged or worn cover quickly and safely.

Tools and parts needed

Steps to follow:

You will need a flat blade screwdriver and you don’t need to remove the cup holder or the armrest. 

1. Use a flat bladescrewdriver or your finger to remove the two rubber parts.

2. So, if you have the cover hidden inside the cup holder, you just need to push it outwards using a flat blade screwdriver.

3. Remove the cup holder cover by pushing on the right side.

4. Install the new cover on the cup holder (If you notice that it slides more difficult, you can use a little contact spray to lightly lubricate the guides, but very little).

5. Install the rubber parts back. Open and close the cover a few times to check the smooth operation. Make sure it closes evenly and does not jam.
