Volvo S40 V50 C30 C70 (2004-2013) – Key fob battery replacement in 4 easy steps

1. Remove the blade from the key by sliding the button to the right.
2. Remove the cover from the key housing using the blade or using a flat blade screwdriver. Do this carefully so as not to damage the key housing.
The Volvo S40 uses a 3 Volt CR2450 battery which you can find below in the video description!
3. Remove the old battery by pressing it from the side where it is a little inside and replace it with a new one. Replace the old battery with the new one within 1 minute, otherwise the key may desynchronized and will no longer work properly.
4. Fit the key housing cover and the blade back onto the key fob. Make sure all sections are aligned correctly. Try using the key fob to unlock or lock the car. If the key works properly, you have successfully changed the battery!
