Here are the steps to follow to replace your side marker light bulb.
Replacement steps:
- Lift the hood and remove the cover behind the headlight.
You can replace the parking light bulb with the headlight mounted on the car (here we have a Skoda Octavia 1 from 2006). On other Octavia 1 models you need to dismantle the headlight to replace the parking light bulb.
Move aside the clip that holds the cover and then remove the cover.
2. Remove the old bulb: squeeze those side clamps and pull it gently outwards.
3. Remove the burnt out bulb from the socket and install the new bulb.
4. Reinstall the socket with the new bulb.
5. Place the plastic cover back.
Start the car and check if the parking light bulb has lit up properly. If not, check if you have inserted the bulb correctly or if the wires and contacts are connected well.
This is a simple and quick procedure, which will help you keep your car in optimal conditions and be visible on the road. If you need a more detailed explanation or instructions for other types of repairs, do not hesitate to ask!
