For those who want to replace the high beam or main beam bulb on Volkswagen Passat B6 (2006-2011), here’s how you can do it in just 5 easy steps.

1. Lift the hood and remove the rubber cover to access the high beam bulb

Here we have a Volkswagen Passat B6 headlight on the right side to better show you how to change the high beam bulb.

2. Disconnect the bulb connector. Pull it outwards

3. Remove the bulb by pulling it outwards

If you can’t remove it by hand, you can use pliers.

Volkswagen Passat B7 uses a H7 bulb that you can find below in the video description!

4. Install the new bulb in the headlight and connect its connector

Do not touch the bulb glass with your hand or bare fingers, in contact with the grease on your hands the bulb will burn out faster!

When installing the new bulb, make sure to position it with the cut side up.

5. Put the rubber cap back in place.
