TUTORIAL: How to remove VW Passat B6, B7, CC (2010-2015) Gear Shift (boot) Knob Gaiter in 8 easy steps
Hey there! In this video tutorial we are going to show you how to remove Gear Shift (boot) Knob Gaiter on VW Passat B6, B7, CC (2010-2015) in just eight easy steps.

Required tools:
– flat blade screwdriver: – https://amzn.to/3thkKWs
– pliers (side cutters) or pincers: –- https://amzn.to/3s5Aj42
1. Open the ashtray first
2. Insert two fingers to push the gaiter frame forward and then pull the gaiter up
3. Pull the gaiter knob up to have access at the clamp (metal clip)
4. Use a flat blade screwdriver or something similar to expand that metal clip
5. Pull the gear shift knob out
6. Install the new gear shift knob on the lever and press it hard until you reach the small dots area
7. Tighten the metalic ring using pincers
8. Fix the new gaiter on the plastic part starting from the back.
You can replace the metalic ring with a small stainless steel hose clamp.
