If you drive a Nissan Micra or a Juke and you see the tyre pressure monitoring system light (TPMS) is on, you just have to follow the next simple steps shown in the video tutorial below.
You have to know that for tyre pressure monitoring system to operate normally it must initialized whenever a tire pressure is adjusted, the tyre rotation is performed, a tire or a wheel is replaced, the battery is replaced or completely drained, or when the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning light is illuminated.
1. Allow the tyres to cool down and then adjust the tyre pressure to the specified pressure indicated on the label
The tire pressure label is located on the driver doorjamb.
On this Nissan Micra the sticker says 2.2 bar on the front tyres and 2.2 bar on the rear tyres.
2. Switch the ignition on (don’t start the engine)
3. Press and hold the tire pressure monitoring system button until the tire pressure monitoring system warning light in the instrument cluster flashes twice and turns off
4. Release the button and switch the ignition off.
Switch on the ignition and check if the tyre pressure warning light remains on.
