If you want to replace or take out the center air vents on a VW Golf Mk4, you have to follow 5 simple steps.

Necessary tools:

• T20 Torx (you can find 12-Piece Magnetic Torx Screwdrivers Set HERE: https://amzn.to/3s9GceR)
  
• flat blade screwdriver: https://amzn.to/3thkKWs
• trim / pry tool (here you can find Trim Removal Tool Set for easy removal for Door Panels, Fasteners, Molding, Dashboards and Wheel Hubs: https://amzn.to/3uy4FMd)

STEP 1: remove those two vents using a flat blade screwdriver (or a plastic tool)

STEP 2: remove those two hidden screws using a ratchet and a T20 Torx

STEP 3: take those false caps out using a plastic tool

STEP 4: remove the hazard switch and the rear defrost button and unplug those two wiring harnesses from the back

To remove the switches you have to push from the back and in the same time on those two steel retaining clips from the side

STEP 5: take the vents bezel out.
