In this video tutorial we will teach you how to set up / activate auto-lock & auto-unlock doors with VCDS (VAG COM) on your VW Golf Mk5, Jetta, Passat, Polo, Touran, Sharan, Skoda Octavia 2, Fabia, Seat Leon, Cordoba, Ibiza, etc. When the car reaches 15 km/h or 10 miles/h the doors will auto lock and it will auto-unlock when you take the key out the ignition. You can still use the lock and unlock buttons from the inner door panel.

But before that, you have to use a VCDS tester and a laptop with VCDS software already installed. Then…

1.       Start the engine and connect the VCDS cable at the OBD2 port

2.       Plug the VAGCOM  (VCDS) cable into any USB port on your laptop

3.       Open the VCDS software that you have already installed on your laptop

Follow this steps: Select Controle Module / 46-Central Conv. / Adaption-10 / Documented adaption channels can be selected here / Auto-Lock / New Value

At “New value” insert number 1 (“on”) or using the “Up” and “Down” (Dn) buttons and then click Test / Save / Yes

Then, turn buck to Documented adaption channels can be selected here / Auto-Unlock / New Value and insert number 1 (“on”) or using the “Up” and “Down” (Dn) buttons and then click Test / Save / Yes / Done, Go back / Exit.

Now, we will check if the set up was done correctly driving with a speed that is over 15 km/h or 10 miles/h.
