This is available in emergency situations such as getting the car on a tow truck or moving it off the road when the car is involved in a car accident, or a dead battery  and you are not allowed to turn on the ignition.

This procedure could be the same on Ford Fiesta Mk4 and Focus Mk4. 

1. Remove the plastic part from the gear shift gaiter and pull it up using a trim removal tool to protect the plastic surfaces.

2. Lift the gaiter up to have access beneath the gear shift.

3. Press the brake pedal and then insert your finger or a flat blade  screwdriver inside and press the yellow button.While holding it down, move the gear shifter from Parking to Neutral.

Install the plastic part and after you moved the car or putting it on the tow car, move the gear shifter back to Parking.
