Hyundai Santa Fe (2007-2010) How to Remove / Replace Steering Wheel Airbag in 4 Easy Steps
The steering wheel airbag is an essential element for the driver’s safety in the event of an accident. If the airbag deploys accidentally or needs to be replaced for other reasons, it is important to know how to replace it correctly and safely. In this article, I will explain the steps necessary to replace the steering wheel airbag on a Hyundai Santa Fe manufactured between 2007 and 2010.

Step 1: Disconnect the negative terminal from the car battery using a 10 mm socket and wait at least 10-15 minutes before removing the airbag
Step 2: Loosen the two bolts on the left and right side of the steering wheel using a T40 Torx
Step 3: Gently pull the airbag outwards and disconnect the wire
Step 4: Disconnect the connector from the airbag using a thin blade screwdriver
First take the yellow part out and then carefully pull the connector outwards.
