TUTORIAL: VW Golf Mk4, Jetta, Bora Ambient or Outside Temperature Sensor G17 Location & Replacement in 3 simple steps

If you having problems with outside temperature on the dash (display) when you turn on the ignition on your VW Golf Mk4, Jetta, Bora, Skoda Octavia Mk1, Fabia, etc. and I mean when the temperature is innacurate or it’s not working properly, you should remove and replace or check the wires from the G17 sensor. See the video tutorial below:

1. Remove the small grille front the bumper
Press on the top of the grille and then take it out
2. Use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the outside temperature sensor squeezing those ends
3. Disconnect the sensor from the wires using a flat blade screwdriver
Use a small flat blade screwdriver and try it from the front to lift the tab and then pull the sensor out.
Install the new sensor and put the small grille back on the bumper.
