This time we will share with you a new video tutorial where you can learn how to set / activate auto folding side mirrors on VW Golf MK6, Mk7, GTI, Jetta, Passat B7, CC in just three easy steps.

Required tools:
– a VCDS cable:
– a laptop (with VCDS software installed)

Make sure that you have folding mirror option on your VW Golf MK6. Then…

1. Connect the VCDS cable to the OBD2 port of your car and to your laptop
2. Insert the key, turn the ignition on and click on VCDS (VAGCOM) software
Then follow the steps:
Select “Options” and then select USB / Test / OK / Save
Select Control Module / 42-Door Elect, Driver / Security Access-16 / Here you
Insert the security code „04354” and click Do it / Ok
Then click on Adaptation-10 / Click on Channel and select „ENG109279-ENG99426-System_Paramater_0-System Paramater Byte8” (it’s in the second half of the list)
Here you have two options. You can replace the old value (wich is 90) with „95” or „99”.
95 – will automatically fold your mirrors while holding the key lock button and will unfold them when you turn the engine on
99 – will automatically fold your mirrors while holding the key lock button and will unfold them when you open the driver door

We have chosen the 95 value.
Then click Do It! / Yes / OK / Go Back / Close Controller, Go Back-06 / Go Back / Exit

3. Close the car from the key and keep pressing for about 2 seconds to automatically fold the mirrors
Now you can check if the mirrors will automatically unfold when we turn the engine on.
