TUTORIAL: How to activate the indicators on as DRLs (day time running lights) on VW Golf Mk5, Jetta with VCDS (VAG-COM) in 3 steps
Watch this video tutorial to see how to activate DRLs (day time running lights) or indicators on (US style) on VW Golf Mk5, Jetta in just 3 simple steps.

Required tools:

– a laptop
1. Start the engine
2. Connect the VCDS cable to the OBD2 port of your VW Golf Mk5 or Jetta
3. Plug the VCDS (VAG-COM) cable into any USB port on your laptop
And then follow the steps from the video:
Open the VCDS software that you have already installed on your laptop and select: Options / USB (in our case) / Test / Save
Return to Menu and click on: Select Control Module / 09-Cent. Elect./ Coding-07 / Long Coding Helper
Go to Byte 7 (Turn Signal Front left/right as Parking Light Front left/right (USA and Canada)) and replace the 0 with a number from 1-100.
This number represent the light intensity.
Pres the Enter button and close the window. Select Ok to accept the code and then return to menu or close the window.
