1.       Slide the passenger seat fully backward

2.       Remove the floor mat and look for the black turn tab laying flat (missing from out car) on the floor pan, flick up one side of the tab and undo anti-clockwise

3.       Lift the floor panel out sliding from beneath the edge of  centre bulkhead

4.       Remove the plastic cover foam cushion.

If you intend replacing the battery, first you have to remove the negative terminal followed by the positive terminal. But before that, make sure that you have the radio code to re-start it.
